A lifetime with locomotives and layouts
22 x 30 cm
Starting from trainspotting days and Tri-ang trainsets, the humorous descriptions take the reader through to the writer¹s more serious involvements in the art of photography (prototype and model) and the building of more advanced locomotives and layouts.
In the first of the book, the author takes you trough a personal history(including real railway influences, illustrating some of his early models right trough to current standards, mainly in OO and EM but with a touch of O thrown in for good measure. Later, the reader is treated to a feast of images of some of the best layouts (in all scales and gauges) to be seen in the last few years (with some more historic ones included, too). The influence of some of the 'greats' in the hobby of railway modelling is also considered with examples of their work included towards the end of the volume.
